PROGRAMS OF STUDY > Degrees, courses & curricula

Each program of study at The Boston Conservatory has a defined, structured curriculum, encompassing the different courses a student must take to earn a degree or diploma in a given area—and often defining the chronological sequence of experiences that are required.

These curricula are all effective September 1, 2004 for students matriculating during the 2004-2005 academic year. Curricula at the Conservatory may be revised annually.

Students can also cross-register for selected courses at area schools through the Professional Arts (ProArts) Consortium. Schools include: Berklee College of Music, The Boston Architectural Center, Emerson College, Massachusetts College of Art, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Registration is on a space-available basis. For more information, please visit proarts.org.

New this year: Each school in the ProArts Consortium has reserved seats for ProArts Students in selected courses. Click here for a list of Spring 2006 classes with reserved seats.
