The Gramercy Trio's Sound and Motion project focuses on the relationship between music and dance, and offers an evening of interactive entertainment in a three-part format. The program's centerpiece is a performance during which performers and audience explore questions such as: does music evoke kinesthetic feelings? If so, how and why? How does including dance affect our listening experienece? If so, how does it change our relationship to the music? The performance is followed by a dance party. Performers include guest artists Jonathan Miller (cello) and Randall Hodgkinson (piano) and Boston Conservatory faculty members Sharan Leventhal (violin) and Olivier Besson (dance).
